Brother John McDonnell OCSO died on Tuesday afternoon. He was in his 88th year and in the 67th year of his monastic profession. Brother John and Brother Oliver worked together in the monastery bakery making the famous monastery bread that was enjoyed by all – monks, students, staff and members of the local community. Brother Oliver was buried only last Friday and now the two great friends have been reunited in heaven.

Brother John will be buried in the monastery graveyard following his funeral mass which will be celebrated at 11am this Friday 15th November in the Abbey Church.
