CCR take 2nd place at Applied Maths Quiz

Four students from Transition Year travelled to the Patrician College in Newbridge last Thursday night to compete in an Applied Maths table quiz.  The quiz is organised by the IAMTA (Irish Applied Maths Teachers Association) and it aims to give students an insight into the subject at senior level.  The national uptake in this subject is very low and the IAMTA are trying to remedy this situation by promoting the subject.

The team did very well and came second place. Pictured are the four team members Donal Burke, Donie Groome, Liam Crowley and David McEvoy along with Mr. Grealish, Dean of Studies.
