Congratulations to Cian Quinn 5th year, the winner of the inaugural Gradam Aodh Mhic Domhnaill for his achievement in Gaeilge. This award was presented in the memory of Mr. Hugh McDonnell a former Principal of Cistercian College and a teacher of Gaeilge who had a love for Irish culture. Hugh taught in the College for 37 years where his passion for Gaeilge and hurling were enjoyed by many past students.  The College welcomed his wife Nora to present the award to Cian together with his  Irish teacher Mrs. Jamie McCormack.
